What I think the joshua tree represents in the glass castle is jeanette because all through the book she faces alot of hard things that would drive a normal person mad(for example the burns she got and the hotel burning down infront of her,in that case i would be a scared little shrimp but she took it like a real person and actually became interested in fire after those events) but she grew off of it like the joshua tree(which the joshua tree grows with the strong winds of the desert.)

  4. It represents how there family has struggles in life.The family is struggling to keep together. Just like the tree is falling apart the family is strong like the truck and is still strong enough to stay together.

  5. The Joshua tree represent the family and how the Joshua tree should have fell over a long time ago but didn't so the tree and family survive.
