Introduction to Speak


As you read, think about the narrator's attitude...How does she feel about school, her peers, her parents, last summer?

  1. She does not like school. She finds her teachers to be annoying. She loves to sleep. She does not like her peers because they all are mean to her. She never talks to her parents or her peers.She would rather be alone then with her family or her peers.

  4. she seems to make each seem like the best people that hate her guts in the world and certain people like heather she makes them seem like annoying followers that should go away
    honestly i dont understand her because all she does is complain that no one wants to talk to her even though that heather wants to be her friend. she is a big complainer that should just suck it up.

  5. Melinda hates her school and her teachers and feels like everyone at school hates her. She hates her peers because she knows that they hater her. She avoids her parent such as when, she order pizza and disappeared right before her parents came. She feels terrible that she called the cops at the party and just wants her friends back.

  6. Melinda feels anxious and scared of first day of school. She is being bullied by her peers. For example, At lunch room someone through mashed potato at her face.
